The Working Group on Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS and Development in the European Parliament (EPWG)
The Working Group on Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS and Development (EPWG) is a dynamic all-party group in the European Parliament. Established in 1991, the EPWG represents a cross-section of the European Union Member States and the Parliament's political groups. The EPWG is composed of a six-member Bureau and a President.
In accordance with the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD, September 1994), the EPWG advocates the support of gender equality, sexual and reproductive health and rights and the response to HIV/AIDS as the basis for sustainable social and human development and poverty eradication.
We hope that this website will help you find out more about the EPWG and will also increase the dialogue between politicians and the people who deal with these issues.
